Day Three: Can I die of boredom?

The walls of my bedroom feel like they’re getting smaller by the hour today, so I was glad to get out for a drive (as the passenger, of course!) to our favourite coffee shop. M humoured me today by agreeing to take me for a walk outside, which I don’t yet feel safe doing solo. Because we live in a hilly neighbourhood, and because I’m still stooped and moving slowly, we opted to go for a walk in the fresh air along the flatter ground near the coffee shop!

I spent a lot of time on my feet today – perhaps too much, I’ll admit! – but it felt soooooo good to be out of bed and doing something.

By the time M went to pick the boys up from daycare at 4:30pm, I had quite a bit of swelling in my torso – no doubt from spending a bit too much time moving around – so I climbed back into bed and immediately got back to chugging water. Reluctantly. And with much irritation.

My appetite still sucks, but I managed two pieces of toast, a protein shake, and a homemade Caesar wrap with chicken which is the most I’ve eaten post-op!
